Freado.com or BookBuzzer, where I got my nifty little book widgets, has decided they weren't making enough money and decided to charge like $60 a year per book for one of their little widgets. Now, per year, I probably make that much in sales for all of my books, heck I'm doing pretty good at making that much almost every month, but really, I couldn't justify the expense, not for only one widget - I have 10 books now, and I'm fairly certain very little if any of what I make comes from the use of those widget, even though I have them all over the place. $600 per year is just too much.

Sigh - now I have to go 'all over the place' and replace them with cover images. At least, doing that will make my different sites easier to load.

The last few years have been rather tumultuous for me. I've changed jobs twice now, going from the lodge where I'd worked for 14 years to another one across the river, and then this last summer, I went back. For more information see my personal blog.

More to the purpose of this website: I have republished my trilogy and The Speed of Dreams under my own name, and I've pulled my first book from the main market (it's still available here) pending a major rewrite and possibly development into a script for the big screen. You should go check out Amazon to see my awesome new covers.

I also bought my domain name, something I'm rather proud of. Not really so long ago I never even imagined publishing. Now I offer my services as an editor and a ghostwriter, and I'm seriously thinking of taking on publishing on a very small scale. That's quite an unusual path twist, considering once upon a time I pictured myself as a ranch owner running horse riding classes for city kids.

How has it been for you?

2013 will be exciting for me. Come February The Speed of Dreams will become live, and then come June Book 2 of The Making of a Mage-King, White Star will join the line up. That'll put 4 books up on my home page. Really rather exciting.
