Anna, I want to read an entire book about your life in Alaska, with no roads to your home and your description of being 30 river miles to anywhere!! You're WAY ahead of octomom as far as getting your own reality show! HA!

Ha. Believe it or not, I've actually made a stab at it. I just don't know how to handle it. I don't read memoirs though I've read a couple really cute blogs.

Soooo, Amy also agrees with me about writing of your experiences in Alaska... see, it would be a hit. All writing is the same, (memoirs, mysteries, romance) there has to be elements of literature in every kind. If you can write scifi you can write a memoir. Come on, believe in yourself and write it. You're sitting on a gold mine. That babe of an ex gov has put Alaska in the for front of the nation, now is the time to capitalize on the mood... soon folks won't be interested.

Nice Website. I agree w/ the others who think you should write about your life in Alaska. I am always fascinated when you offer up tidbits about it over on goodreads. Some great memoirs to read (IMO) are The Twelve Little Cakes and The Glass Castle (who incidentally is written by Jeannette Walls, any relation?). Both are on my books on gr. My son used to always say, when he was about 3 that he was "supposed to be born in Alaska" LOL, not sure where he got that, but Alaska has always fascinated me.

There's a huge amount of interest for blogs and photo streams about Alaska. If you take lots of pictures you will get lots of followers. You can also create a flickr photostream and link to it from your blog. Looking forward to reading more.
